I have been so dead tired for the last week… and I have a headache. And random other whiney things wrong with me that apparently have no connection to each other. So I finally went to the Health Center today and saw Myra… and after $100 worth of blood work she came to the conclusion that she doesn’t know what’s wrong with me either. But we’ve narrowed it down. I do not have… anemia… an infection… abnormal blood sugar… or mono. However, we have no clue what I do have, or how to treat it. Which means that I’m spending Tuesday morning in the Health Center discussing the results of further blood tests… and if we still can’t pin it down, I get to run the gauntlet of chemistry tests and blood work… fun fun fun.
I managed to make it back to Karate today… and this was not the day to try to jump back in. Dr Dewey made us run a mile and a half, and do 100 crunches, 100 jumping jacks, and 100 push-ups (I managed to do everything but the push-ups… somehow, I just can’t do more than 30 push-ups). I told him I wasn’t feeling well, and asked to leave early… but Dr Dewey is a butthead, and made me stay and do kicking and punching drills.
After 10 hours sleep last night, I’m still tired. Granted, the whole Karate thing might have something to do with it… but I was tired when I got up this morning. I’ve got to find a way to get this fixed…
And I’m not getting to bed early tonight… Neil talked me into chaperoning his quasi-date tonight. As far as I know, we’re going to KFC, and then renting a movie (Not the night I would plan if I were taking a sorority girl out, but he’s in charge). Damn, I wish I were a “real” girl sometimes… this one-of-the-guys-but-sort-of-a-girl female engineer thing is nice most of the time, but every once in a while… I wish the guys would remember that yes, I really am a girl. But not a fluffy, girly girl. Just a normal, everyday, girl next door tomboyish girl. *grin* Enough whining… I need to get dressed to go out tonight… What does one wear to go out with a group of guys and a sorority chick?
Somehow, I think my Thundercats t-shirt is a no :-)
