So I left for Memphi around 11:30 friday.... And was broken down on the side of the road by 12:30, and my Daddy had to come and bring me home. Grr to radiators. (the water pump in the Taurus is bad, and we won't be getting it fixed anytime in the next weeke or two...) So I called Chad, all upset because I was stuck in Godforsakenville, AL, and I wasn't going to make it to Memphis, and I felt like a stupid girl because I had to wait for my Daddy to come get the car...

And Chad was a saint this weekend.... he came and picked me up, and took me back to Memphis... And then when we went ot see Minority Report, and it disturbed me so much I could hardly talk, and couldn't explain to him why it disturbed me, and he held me, and gave me alcohol and a back rub, and made me feel better so I could sleep. And he put up with me being whiney and cross all weekend. (most of which was due to the fact that I was getting sick, and didn't realize it yet).

And so, despite getting off to a bad start, and having a few bumps here and there, I had a wonderful weekend. I went to a computer show, then went to Brian's graduation party, and we ate (way too much) food, and talked, and played trivial pursuit, and went out to Outback, and watched Minority report.

And I got home, and woke up sick Monday morning... was sick all day Monday, and dragged my butt out of bed to go to class Monday night.... Was sick all day Tuesday, and dragged my butt out of bed to go to lab Tuesday night. But today I'm feeling somewhat better, although my head is killing me.

I finally got a decal for my parent's van, so they can come on-site without too much hassle. All I had to do was forge my dad's signature.... A skill every daughter should have :-) Anyway, Mom and Dad'll be happy it's done.

In non-related news, a fire truck had to visit my building today :-) See, the "Smoker's Buddy" on the porch, which holds cigarette butts, was smoking really, really, bad. And, as civil servants, if we use a fire extinquisher, we can be fired (we are not proparly trained). So Alan (my boss) called 911, and got lots of attention for us... They came and blasted it with something that look suspiciously like a fire extiquisher (mabe they have special training?).... but it put out the blaze. And it was funny.... the fire truck didn't fit in our parking lot :-) It was too long. :-)

So I get to go get bug parts today, if the dadgum shops are open. :-) Yay for me! :-)
