According to the Are you smarter than Miss America quiz:

I am smarter than Miss Washington DC, Miss Tennessee, Miss Massachusetts, and Miss New York. Intelligence-wise, I'm right up there with Miss Oregon, the new Miss America (2001). I should have lunch with her or something.

You are Optimus Prime!

Vast, red and ready to turn into a lorry at the slightest provocation, you are a robot to be reckoned with. Although sickeningly noble, you just can't resist a good interplanetary war, especially when Orson Welles is involved. You have friends who can shoot tapes from their chests. Tapes that turn into panthers. And other friends who are dinosaurs. Dinosaurs who jump out of planes. Will you have my children?

I'm alive, still... or mostly so, I suppose. I guess I'll catch you up on what's happened since I posted last...

Wednesday... I went to school.

Thursday... I went to school.

Friday... I went to school, then Tim and I came back to Huntsville. My mom was all jumpy up and down happy to see me, and kept me up late showing me every single thing she'd bought since Christmas. The kids didn't fight at all, leading me to believe that maybe they were growing up. But, you know, now that I think of it, Rob wasn't even home... that might have had something to do with it.

Saturday... Dad and Mandie went to the "greyshirts" (grade school) AWANA olympics, in Meridianvlle, and Mom and I went yard saling. We had a ball with that, and bought buttloads of baby clothes (no no no... not for me. Or at least, not in the near future. *grin* What isn't for upcoming baby showers is packed away nicely in a box for whenever babies decide to happen.)... Then it started raining... so we tackled the thrift stores. And I bought some pants, and some shirts, and about a million cute little sundressy type romper things for this summer. Oh, and my "find" this weekend... Gigantic wideleg jeans, with rainbow stripes. And a mathing "yak hair" fuzzy shirt. You have no clue how big the legs are on these jeans.... I could fit in one leg... They're great. Rob made it home late, but had a great time in Prattville.... took 1st in Bible quizzing, and his team took 3rd in Olympics, and brought home lots of spiffy metals.

Sunday... Church. Then napped. Then hung out with Rob and Mandie for a while.

Monday... went to work. Came home, did laundry, started cleaning Rob's room.

Tuesday... went to work. Came home, did laundry, started cleaning My/Mandie's room, made little progress, got frustrated, went to bed early.

Today... still at work. Working on linking concepts, meta tags, and alt tags. And inventory. Which wouldn't be to bad, if all my stuff weren't in boxes for the upcoming move to another building... and if I could stay awake.

Tonight... I go to church for AWANA (with the sad realization that most of the people I know there are my brother and sister's friends), and i get to wear my awesome new jeans *grin* No cleaning will get done tonight... Ho hum. But there's always tomorrow night.... I would like to have both the kid's rooms clean by the time I leave. Don't know if it'll happen, but it would be nice.

Anyway... lunch is over... alt tags are calling me.... damn 508 compliance laws.

Whew. Long day. Where to start?

I guess I’ll start at the beginning… that usually helps, I suppose. So I got up this morning with a monster headache. Which shouldn’t surprise me to much, I suppose, since I’ve had a headache since Thursday… but this was too much of a headache to deal with at 7am. So I took 1200 mg of Ibuprofen, and went back to bed. By 10am, I was feeling slightly better, so I got up…. And promptly lost track of time until 10 minutes before my CS II class. So I skipped breakfast and ran across campus, and made it right on time, but not early. After CS is karate, so I dragged myself to the gym. And Dr. Dewey made us do a million crescent kicks, and now I can’t lift either leg high enough to go up a set of stairs… I can manage down ok, but not up. Anyway…. So here the fun starts. Since I didn’t have a power cord yesterday *grrr*, I didn’t get my lab report done. And it was due at 3:30pm today. So I raced back here, showered, wrote a lab report, compiled code, printed stuff out, and ran to lab. After lab, Neil had told me we were going to Wal-Mart. So I head over to his dorm, only to find out that Blake wasn’t there yet, and we weren’t sure what time he was getting in… So we chilled and watched Who’s Line for a while… and I stole some of Neil’s Saltine crackers… and then Blake came home, so we went to Wal-mart. Made it back from Wal-mart just in time to put my groceries away and talk to Chad for a couple of minutes…

Ok, I know you’re bored… but this is where it gets funny. I promise. So I left to go to Brian’s Wind Ensemble Concert. I was supposed to be in McComas at 6:45pm, because the concert started at 7pm, and I needed time to find and seat and all that… I left my dorm (Hamlin) at 6:40pm, and I knew I was going to be late. So I rushed over to McComas… and it was locked up tighter than a drum. I thought, well, maybe the concert was in Lee hall… So I rushed back across the drill field to Lee Hall, only to discover that it too was locked up. I though, maybe I didn’t try the right door at McComas… So I run back over there. Nope. Still locked. Since it was 7:10pm by this point, I figured that, wherever they were hiding the concert, it was well underway, and I had better give up. I decided to go get food, seeing as all I had eaten all day was four saltine crackers… And as I walked into the Union, what did I find? The Wind Ensemble, setting up for their concert, which started at 7:30pm. So I didn’t miss it after all. *grin* Which was good, because the concert was excellent.

Well, I thought it was funny at least…. And Brian thought it was pretty funny, too. Oh well…..

I have a Calculus test tomorrow…. Light a candle for me or something… I really really need an A. I’ve studied… I know the stuff… I just don’t know if I can put it on paper in 50 minutes. Tests suck.

Grrr. Roommates. I haven’t had access to my computer all day because Elisa took my power adapter (hers isn’t working) and I ran my battery out. Then she comes home and starts whining. She’s all upset because she isn’t going to get to see Ian more than ten minutes a day for the rest of the week. Then she’s going to Miami with him for 8 days… Then she complains she isn’t going to see him during the summer except on weekends. And so she complains to me that it’s not fair. Let me think here… I haven’t seen Chad since January 7th. I won’t see him until Easter week. And after that I won’t see him until May. Then, over the summer, I will only see him on weekends. Who has the right to complain about the injustices of life?

I tried to point that out… and she told me that obviously I don’t love Chad as much as she loves Ian. Which pisses me off. Just because I can function when Chad’s in another state means I don’t love him as much? That can’t be right. Granted, if I didn’t call or try to keep in touch, she might have a point. But Chad and I talk every day… and it really kills me that he’s not here. Or I’m not there… but I don’t see that whining about it will make it any better. I live with it, knowing its not forever… I’ll finish school eventually. But meanwhile, every time Ian’s out of sight for ten minutes, Esa’s going to whine about how much she misses him and how it’s not fair that they have to be apart. Which makes me sick. Grrr.

But, thinking about eventually getting out of school, I discovered that, if I take Physics II this summer at home, and if my class schedules work out, I may be able to graduate on time without staying here one summer. But I can definitely graduate on time if I stay one summer. So we’ll see how next semester goes… if I can handle 18 hrs of tech stuff, I’ll try to do without the summer. Otherwise, I’ll talk to Dr. Hardin and see what he thinks… and if I can get the summer paid for somehow.

Oh well…. I guess I’m off to eat dinner….

Ha ha... I have found the counter to my nerd status... Why geek girls RULE :-)

1. They are VERY cute.
2. They are smart.
3. They know how to code.
4. They know it's not the size of the drive, but what's on it that counts.
5. They know who Anakin Skywalker is.
6. They don't giggle when talking about hardware and software.
7. Hacking is an aphrodisiac.
8. They understand the NEED to upgrade your system.
9. They know how to hack your registry, very well.
10. They completely understood "The Matrix"

What is YOUR Highschool label?

Alright, alright, I give up. Two tests in a week have confirmed that yes, I am a nerd. Apparently, quite a nerd. But, somehow, I managed to get the nerd title, but not the smarts. *note to Chad: this might explain my nervous breakdown last night over two upcoming B's this semester.* Ho hum. I suppose that after like, a bizzilion years of being called a nerd, it wouldn't suprise me. Anyway...

I guess I'll go back to reading my Nazi book, and doing calculus homework *sigh* the life of a geek.
