So I went and did aerobic kickboxing yesterday... and amazingly, I'm not as sore today as I was Tuesday. Go figure.
But that's the last of the aerobics stuff for me this week... cause tonight or tomorrow, Chad and I are going to drive up to Memphis... and Satuday, we're going to Branson. we got a nice hotel room, with a hot tub, and one big bed as opposed to the two-bed rooms that his dad was trying to talk us into. Yay!
I just have to finish getting anniversary present stuff together... I should managet this afternoon, whilst Chad is at work. We hope.
I put the first 6 episodes of Aqua Teen that we taped off of the tv with the media center onto DVD. Now I get to test the dvd, and if it works, I can delete them form the Media Center! And have way more room to tape more stuff (which will probably get taken up by episodes of Aqua Teen).
But that's ok. I have learned the art of dvd making... so I can (slowly) put all of them on DVD. The sad thing is, in like, three weeks or so, we'll have all of them.
Mythbusters will prove more of a challenge, as I have to take the commercials out.
So... on this whole getting healthy and loosing weight kick. Yeah. I decided that since I was close enough to campus to walk to work (one of the only good things about our apartment), I would try that out. And it wasn't so bad last week... it's prettydadgumhot (one word) in Mississippi, but I can deal with that. And my computer weighs like, 6 pounds or so, plus bag and cables and such. It takes me about 15 or 20 minutes to walk to Butler, at a reasonable pace... Great, huh?
So this weekend I took my laptop *back* to BestBuy, because they failed to fix it the first time. And they (sort of) made it a little easier for me to get a loaner computer.
But it weighs, like, 12 pounds. *sigh* Still not too bad, I guess (at least I have a computer).
So yesterday, feeling ambitious and stuff, I decided to take an aerobics class. Which was really more like a yoga class. *annoying little girl voice* I don't think I like Yoga */annoying little girl voice*... But I survived, so it wasn't too bad. And last night, I felt pretty good.
Today. Not so much. I woke up slightly sore, and thought it would work itself out as I moved around and stuff. So I ate, got all my stuff together (inluding my 12 pound computer), and walked up to Butler.
About the time I passed the Wesley, I realized my it was not going to work itself out. But it was too late to turn around and get my car, and that would have made me feel like a weenie.
Now I'm in my office. I've been here for 2 hours, and Ow. Mucsles that I knew exisited, but didn't know I used yesterday: the muscle from my shoulders to my elbows down the back of my arms, and the muscles from my ears to my collarbone. Muscles I didn't know exisited: typing muscles. Somehow, doing yoga, I strained my typing muscles. It hurts to type. Which sucks.
So... no aerobics for me today. I'll go home, and try to stretch as much as possible, and see if I can handle another aerobics class tomorrow.
But it's ok. Chad says he'll probably come and get me so I don't have to walk home.
I dyed my hair last night.... The main goal was to cover the stupid grey hair, so for awhile I was debating trying to match the redish color my hair was turning.... but none of the reds were right, and I was scared to go lighter... So I went with Saphire Black. Which is awesome.
Me and my goth-girl hair are going to work now :-) Might have to pick up some eyeliner.... ;-)
So Chelsea and Dusty came to visit for all of last week (Sunday through Saturday), which was awesome (and kept me from getting any real work done for an entire week). We ate out (until the fridge was replaced by a not-new working one), we took a walking tour of campus in the pouring rain, we played Magic (Chelsea andDusty taught me), we went to wal-mart at 2am (twice, I think)... all kinds of awesome things that we do on a regular basis in Starkville, that are made much more awesomer when other (non-Starkville) people participate. And we might get Chelsea down here in a year or so... maybe.
David and Nichole dropped in for the afternoon and visited and ate yummy Bulldog Deli desserts with me (which is great, because I seldom manage to go there and only get dessert...).
There is a chance that Hillary might be coming down this week (we don't know yet...) Which would be great... no idea what we'll do when she gets here, but we'll think of something, I'm sure.
And Big Mike is coming down Sunday night and satying for a couple of days... then he'll be back in August for school. Yay!
So yeah. fun stuff. anyone else who wants to visit, feel free to call or drop in :-)
Internet is on in the new apaprtment... I guess that means we're officially moved in (although you wouldn't believe that if you saw the place at the moment... boxes and bags everywhere). Fun stuff.
School started today, but not really for me. I start tomorrow.
And that is all the interesting news. Starkville is incredibly dead during the summer.
